About Amy

Amy Mawson is an equestrian coach and experiential learning facilitator who helps individuals and organizations explore how disconnects in body awareness, and the nervous system responses greatly influence learning and performance.

During her years as a competitive and professional rider, Amy was often entrusted with horses considered anxious, reactive, or difficult.  Through this experience she began intuitively recognizing how not only her equitation and correct aids influenced the horse, but also her balance, breath, emotional regulation, and intentions significantly influenced how the horses responded.  She also observed, in many situations, a significant change in the horses behaviour when the owners resumed their interactions and riding.

Amy completed her CanFitPro fitness specialist certification and started studying more in depth horse and human behaviour to better understand why they negatively react or compliment each other so much.

With over 40yrs experience as an athlete, Amy has dealt with the recovery from various injuries and walked through many emotionally traumatic events.  However, Amy has always chosen to turn her trials into tools!   Creating her new workshop series and customizable sessions is allowing her to share these tools to many more individuals across various sports and life stages.

Amy is dedicated to helping others break down limitations, unlock their potential and realize how equipped they are to achieve whatever they put their mind too.
